Bringing back the ME Generation!

NIC DALTON Last Seen Near Trafalgar 87-89 OUT JUNE 7th!!! Following on from Nic's first collection of home recordings Romolo 86-88 and the Love Positions Billiepeebup album are seventeen never-heard-before songs firmly entrenched in Sydney of the late 80s when Nic was about 23-24 and playing in the Plunderers. Although solo, these are no droopy voice and guitar outings, but full ''band'' takes and includes early versions of Plunderers songs such as ''Muffin'' and ''Lena Lee''. Read all about the recording process and the songs in the double-sided A4 liner notes. Go the Tascam 244!

Meanwhile, NIC DALTON and his GLOOMCHASERS will be supporting BRYAN ESTEPA when he launches his new album at
the Hopetoun Hotel, Surry Hills
Friday July 4th

The Gloomchasers are playing the middle spot (on at 9.30) and this will be the last show for a few months for Nic, Danny, Lucy, Kevin and Gavin while they keep chipping away on their follow-up to Home Of The Big Regret. And in the meantime, check out Bryan Estepa. If well-crafted pop songs with immaculate singing and a perfect guitar tone is your bag, get onto it!

From the SMUDGE myspace: So, yeah, by "Australian Tour" we mean we are playing our first show in two years...and as we keep changing the actual date of the show, it kinda feels like more than one gig...
The Annandale Hotel
Sunday July 6th

Smudge, Sam Shinazzi, Grand Banks, January, Bambino Koresh...Five bands, five bucks...it's good value ANY day of the week.

Bambino who? That be Bambino Koresh which is a new band featuring Tom Morgan backing up the rockin'' talents of his wife Leticia Nischang. Tom is on the bass along with drummer Sarah Moor and Leti on guitar and vocals. They've been playing around Sydney/Newcastle the last few months and come along and see if Tom has a costume change when Bambino Koresh support Smudge at the Annandale on Sunday 6th July.

KHANCOBAN news: The band has recently finished recording their anticipated full-length record, Limbs May Fall, a twelve-track effort recorded in Melbourne by Neil Thomason (plus additional recording by Pete Cohen) and mastered in Chicago by Bob Weston, which is scheduled for release in the second half of 2008. Many of the songs, including 'Stolen car' and 'Balloon Sunrise', have long been perfected on the road. The title-track quietly begins the record, then accelerates to fulfil the poise and direction Khancoban is travelling in - expanding the view in every direction from their debut. Various tracks from the record are now being previewed online.
