Zion were one of the winners of the Petersham Bowling Club’s PBC Battle of the Bands in 2023. One of their prizes was a session at Golden Retriever Studios, Marrickville (recorded by Yianni Adams) and the track released by Half A Cow Records.

Zion are a hard hitting grunge rock band from the Illawarra’s northern suburbs. Since forming in 2021, the trio have matured into a band that is recognized for their distinctive gritty sound and raw energy.

Drawing their inspiration from the dirty, distorted sounds of 90’s grunge bands, Zion released their first 2 singles, Mongoose and Saturation in 2023, receiving accolades from both industry professionals and their growing fanbase.

“Centipede” was one of the first songs ever written by the band. A crowd favourite at live performances, the song has evolved over time, becoming a natural choice for their next single.
