IT’S AUTOMATIC: the best of YOUNG MODERN

23 track compilation OUT NOW!

The first ever ‘best of’ collection from legendary Beatles/Stones/Byrds/Velvet Underground-influenced Adelaide band Young Modern who played their first show supporting Radio Birdman in ’77. Taking their name from a local mid-60s teen mag – and sounding equal parts Bomp! magazine and New York Rocker – Adelaide’s Young Modern mixed pre-indie rock jangle and strum with the punch of power pop. Featuring John Dowler who went on to The Zimmermen (who released the classic single “Don’t Go To Sydney”) and the Vanity Project.

Includes 24-page booklet with liner notes by Dave Laing.
