Lord Esme are a four-piece Sydney pop band making a name for themselves with their eclectic sound and playful approach to music. Mixing pop, rock, and folk influences, their music is filled with humour, heart, and a love of shandies and cardigans. Live shows feature everything from indie ballads to energetic rockers, including saxophone solos that are considered by many to be sax crimes.
The album (on vinyl!) is available from Lord Esme’s Bandcamp and also on the streamers from Friday 2nd February.
A Nice Sit Down will be launched on Friday April 12 at the Trocadero Room in Enmore.
Lord Esme are finally launching their debut album, A Nice Sit Down, and joining them are good buddies Winterfox (launching their debut album, Cost You Nothing), and Library Siesta. Plus some other surprise friends to be announced (or you might just have to show up to find out).
New single out too!
Alison Rhodes continues the whimsical pop direction of Lord Esme and tells the tale of the person who used to live in our house but has yet to redirect her mail. Available on Bandcamp and all the streamers!
ALBUM OF THE WEEK (29th Jan 2024)
The Feature Album on 2SER this week comes from jangle pop quartet Lord Esme, with their wonderfully understated debut A Nice Sit Down, out now on Half A Cow Records. Danny gave vocalist and keyboardist Sally a breakfast wake up call to get the low down on scone rock, cardigan pop and home-recording.
